EDGE RESTRAINT WITH MECHANISM FOR RESTRICTED HORIZONTAL MOVEMENT
An edge restraint (10) and method of use where the edge restraint has a vertical wall (14) for retaining segmental pavement in an installation placement and a horizontal base (12) having a plurality of teeth (22) extending therefrom and providing discrete focused points (28) for providing friction between the edge restraint and an installation surface (34) to prevent horizontal movement of the edging in at least one direction with respect to the installation surface. A leading edge (20) of the base is installed under a first surface with the wall providing a barrier between the first surface (34) and a second surface (36) for engaging the teeth with a third surface (38) to prevent movement of edging in a horizontal direction away from the first surface.
L'invention concerne une bordure (10) et un procédé d'utilisation, la bordure comprenant une paroi verticale (14), destinée à retenir un pavage segmentaire lors du positionnement à l'installation, et une base horizontale (12) dotée d'une pluralité de dents (22) qui s'étendent à partir de celle-ci et fournissent des points focaux distincts (28) servant à produire un frottement entre la bordure et une surface d'installation (34) afin d'empêcher un mouvement horizontal des bords dans au moins une direction par rapport à la surface d'installation. Un bord avant (20) de la base est installé sous une première surface, la paroi formant une barrière entre la première surface (34) et une deuxième surface (36) pour amener les dents en prise avec une troisième surface (38) afin d'empêcher le déplacement des bords dans une direction horizontale à l'opposé de la première surface.
