METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOVABLE COMPACTION DEVICE DURING MATERIAL COMPACTION WORK
In the method for operating a movable compaction device (10) during material compaction work the moisture content of the material to be compacted is monitored. The method comprises the steps of defining a compaction performance index for the material (100) to be compacted, said compaction performance index being an electromagnetic character correlating with the volumetric moisture content of the material, determining the compaction performance index value in a number of survey points of the material to be compacted during compaction work using electromagnetic measurement device and controlling the operation on the compaction device based on determined compaction performance index values. Determination of the compaction performance index includes sending at least one wideband electromagnetic pulse to the material to be compacted with a ground penetrating radar, receiving a reflected signal, measuring the power spectral density and peak to peak amplitude from the reflected signal and calculating the compaction performance index by using the measured density and amplitude.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un dispositif de compactage mobile (10) lors d'un travail de compactage de matériau dans lequel la teneur en humidité du matériau à compacter est surveillée. Le procédé consiste à définir un indice de performance de compactage du matériau (100) à compacter, ledit indice de performance de compactage constituant un caractère électromagnétique en corrélation avec la teneur en humidité volumétrique du matériau, à déterminer la valeur d'indice de performance de compactage dans un certain nombre de points de relevé du matériau à compacter lors d'un travail de compactage à l'aide d'un dispositif de mesure électromagnétique et à commander le fonctionnement du dispositif de compactage en fonction de valeurs d'indice de performance de compactage déterminées. La détermination de l'indice de performance de compactage consiste à envoyer au moins une impulsion électromagnétique à large bande vers le matériau à compacter à l'aide d'un radar de sondage du sol, à recevoir un signal réfléchi, à mesurer la densité spectrale de puissance et l'amplitude de pic à pic à partir du signal réfléchi et à calculer l'indice de performance de compactage à l'aide de la densité et de l'amplitude mesurées.
