Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gargerät (1) mit einem Gehäuse (2), in dem ein Garraum (3) ausgebildet ist, und mit einer Tür (4) zum Verschließen des Garraums (3), wobei die Tür als Falttür (4) ausgebildet ist, die ein erstes Türsegment (5) und ein dazu separates zweites Türsegment (6) aufweist, wobei die zumindest zwei Türsegmente (5, 6) mit einer ersten Scharniervorrichtung (12) direkt miteinander schwenkbar verbunden sind, wobei das erste Türsegment (5) an einem oberen Türsegmentende mit einer zweiten Scharniervorrichtung (13) mit einer Führungsvorrichtung (14), die an dem Gehäuse (2) angeordnet ist, verbunden ist und das zweite Türsegment (6) mit einem unteren Türsegmentende mit einer dritten Scharniervorrichtung (18) mit dem Gehäuse (2) verbunden ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im geschlossenen Zustand der Falttür (4) eine Schwenkachse (A) der ersten Scharniervorrichtung (12) in Tiefenrichtung (z) des Gargeräts (1) betrachtet näher zum Garraum (3) angeordnet ist, als eine Schwenkachse (B) der zweiten Scharniervorrichtung (13) und näher zum Garraum (3) angeordnet ist, als eine Schwenkachse (C) der dritten Scharniervorrichtung (18).
