A method of calcining a clay material for use as a supplementary cementitious material, comprising the steps of: - providing a raw clay material, - optionally drying the raw clay material, - granulating the raw clay material in order to obtain raw clay granules, - calcining the raw clay granules to obtain calcined clay granules, - grinding the calcined clay granules to obtain a pulverulent supplementary cementitious material.
L'invention concerne un procédé de calcination d'un matériau d'argile destiné à être utilisé en tant que matériau cimentaire supplémentaire, comprenant les étapes consistant à : fournir un matériau d'argile brut,- éventuellement sécher le matériau d'argile brut, - granuler le matériau d'argile brut afin d'obtenir des granules d'argile brute,- calciner les granules d'argile brute pour obtenir des granules d'argile calcinés,- broyer les granules d'argile calcinés pour obtenir un matériau cimentaire supplémentaire pulvérulent.
