The invention relates to a device (10) for removing floating debris carried by a current in a main flow, mainly comprising a central platform defining a central corridor (13) located in the axis of the main flow, two upstream arms (22) located at the entrance to said central corridor, a storage receptacle (45) into which the debris is directed and stored, and first means located upstream of the device for preventing bulky debris from being collected by the device. According to the main features of the invention, the first means comprise at least one cable (26) stretched between the two upstream arms (22), the cable being located above and substantially parallel to the water surface and the device comprises second adjustable protection means (24), located downstream of the device suitable for reducing the forces to which the storage receptacle is exposed.
Dispositif (10) pour collecter les débris flottants entrainés par un courant dans un écoulement principal, comprenant principalement une plateforme centrale délimitant un couloir central (13) situé dans l'axe de l'écoulement principal, deux bras amont (22) situés à l'entrée dudit couloir central, un réceptacle de stockage (45) dans lequel les débris sont dirigés et stockés et des premiers moyens situés à l'amont du dispositif pour empêcher les débris volumineux d'être collectés par le dispositif. Selon les caractéristiques principales de l'invention, les premiers moyens comprennent au moins un câble (26) tendu entre les deux bras amont (22), le câble étant situé au-dessus de la surface de l'eau et sensiblement parallèle à celle-ci et le dispositif comprend des seconds moyen (24) réglables de protection, situés en aval du dispositif adaptés pour réduire les efforts subis par le réceptacle de stockage.
