APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING MATS
A method of repairing a mat including: cutting an irregular section of the mat to an approximately perpendicular edge; applying a sealant to the perpendicular edge; conjoining a secondary piece to the perpendicular edge; clamping the secondary piece to the perpendicular edge temporarily; and fixing the secondary piece to the perpendicular edge; where the mat being configured to support the weight of people, vehicles and equipment thereupon and undergo movement relative to one or more other mats without disengaging from another, and the mats include at least four sides and an edge extending along each side, the first and second sides of each mat having a lower lip extending horizontally outwardly below the edge thereof and the third and fourth sides of each mat having an upper lip forming the edge thereof, the respective upper and lower lips of different mats being interconnectable with pins.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réparation d'un mat, consistant : à découper un segment irrégulier du mat jusqu'à un bord approximativement perpendiculaire ; à appliquer un agent d'étanchéité sur le bord perpendiculaire ; à conjoindre une pièce secondaire au bord perpendiculaire ; à serrer temporairement la pièce secondaire sur le bord perpendiculaire ; et à fixer la pièce secondaire sur le bord perpendiculaire ; le mat étant conçu pour supporter le poids de personnes, de véhicules et d'équipements, et pour subir un mouvement par rapport à au moins un autre mat sans s'en désolidariser. Les mats selon l'invention comportent au moins quatre côtés et un bord s'étendant le long de chaque côté, les premier et deuxième côtés de chaque mat ayant une lèvre inférieure s'étendant horizontale vers l'extérieur au-dessous du bord de ceux-ci, et les troisième et quatrième côtés de chaque mat ayant une lèvre supérieure formant leur bord, les lèvres supérieure et inférieure respectives de différents mats pouvant être interconnectées avec des broches.
