A wave generator body (10), in the following body (10), configured to be moved through water along a track direction (T), comprises a first part (11) forming the bow of the body (10) when the body (10) is moved through water along the track direction (T), a second part (12) arranged downstream of the first part (11) and forming the stern of the body (10) when the body (10) is moved through water along the track direction (T). The body (10) is configured with a variable width (W).
