EMISSIONS TREATMENT ARTICLES WITH INORGANIC FILTRATION DEPOSITS AND CATALYTIC MATERIAL
A method for making a filtration article comprising coating a catalytic material within porous ceramic walls of a honeycomb filter body, thereafter depositing a filler material within the body, and exposing the body to a surface treatment to deposit inorganic deposits within the body on one or more portions of the walls, and burning off the filler material. A filtration article comprises inorganic deposits disposed on walls defining inlet channels; and a catalytic material in pores of walls. At least a portion of the inorganic deposits comprise bridging inorganic deposits which at least partially extend over the pores that extend to the surface of the walls, and such bridging inorganic deposits are spaced away from the catalytic material which is disposed within the walls. Soot treatment is used to space away the bridging inorganic particles from the catalytic material and/or substantially separate the inorganic particles from the catalytic material.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un article de filtration comprenant le revêtement d'un matériau catalytique à l'intérieur de parois céramiques poreuses d'un corps de filtre en nid d'abeilles, puis le dépôt d'un matériau de remplissage à l'intérieur du corps, et l'exposition du corps à un traitement de surface pour déposer des dépôts inorganiques à l'intérieur du corps sur une ou plusieurs parties des parois, et le brûlage du matériau de remplissage. Un article de filtration comprend des dépôts inorganiques disposés sur des parois définissant des canaux d'entrée ; et un matériau catalytique dans les pores des parois. Au moins une partie des dépôts inorganiques comprend des dépôts inorganiques de pontage qui s'étendent au moins partiellement sur les pores qui s'étendent jusqu'à la surface des parois, et de tels dépôts inorganiques de pontage sont espacés du matériau catalytique qui est disposé à l'intérieur des parois. Un traitement de suie est utilisé pour espacer les particules inorganiques de pontage du matériau catalytique et/ou séparer sensiblement les particules inorganiques du matériau catalytique.
