The invention relates to a device (1) for closing off an opening, comprising a stationary part (11) in which an aperture is defined, and at least one movable panel (12) which slides, along two rails (114, 115) that are mounted on one surface of the stationary panel (11), between a closure position which closes off the aperture in a closure plane defined by the stationary panel (11) and at least one opening position in a sliding plane that is substantially parallel to the closure plane. Each of the rails (114, 115) bears at least one shuttle (2) which is movable in translation in the rail (114, 115) and which provides passage of the movable panel (12) from the closure position to the sliding position, and vice-versa, by means of at least one groove (22, 23) that guides a pin (124, 125) secured to the movable panel (12), and provides the sliding movement of the movable panel (12) in the closure plane in order to place the movable panel in an open position. According to the invention, the shuttle (2) comprises means for blocking at least one of the pins in the corresponding groove in a blocking position when the movable panel is in the open position so as to oppose accidental movement of the movable panel relative to the shuttle in a direction perpendicular to the sliding plane.

Selon l'invention, la navette (2) comprend des moyens de blocage d'au moins un des pions dans la rainure correspondante, dans une position de blocage, lorsque le panneau mobile est dans la position ouverte, de façon à s'opposer à un déplacement intempestif du panneau mobile par rapport à la navette selon une direction perpendiculaire au plan de coulissement.
