The invention relates to an installation (1) for treating excrement, comprising a unit (3) for treating urine and a station (5) for combusting faeces, the unit (3) for treating urine comprising a station (4) for converting urine into dihydrogen, the station (5) for combusting faeces comprising, housed inside a combustion chamber (6), a burner (7) operating on dihydrogen, and the treatment installation (1) comprising a fluid connection (8) between the station (4) for converting urine into dihydrogen and the station (5) for combusting faeces to allow a supply of dihydrogen to the burner (7) from the dihydrogen produced at the station (4) for converting urine into dihydrogen. The installation comprises an excrement collecting station (2) having a urine collecting part (2A), which is connected to the inlet (41) of the station (4) for converting urine into dihydrogen by means of a fluid circulation circuit (9), and a separate faeces collecting part (2B) which is connected to the combustion chamber (6) without passage of the connection by the unit (3) for treating urine.
