Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sanitärelement (1), umfassend eine zumindest partiell lichtdurchlässig ausgebildete, begehbare Glasplatte (2) mit einer auf einer ersten Seite (S1) der Glasplatte (2) ausgebildeten ersten Oberfläche (2a) sowie zumindest ein Leuchtelement (3), das auf einer von der ersten Seite (S1) verschiedenen Seite (S2) der Glasplatte (2) angeordnet ist, wobei an der ersten Oberfläche (2a) der Glasplatte (2) eine Antirutschanordnung (4) angeordnet oder ausgebildet ist, die im montierten Zustand des Sanitärelements (1) dazu eingerichtet ist, beim Begehen der Glasplatte (2) durch einen Nutzer, insbesondere während dem Duschen oder Baden ein Wegrutschen zu verhindern, und wobei zwischen dem zumindest einen Leuchtelement (3) und der Glasplatte (2) eine Dekorschicht (16) angeordnet ist. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Sanitärsystem (100) mit wenigstens einem solchen Sanitärelement (1) sowie einem Verfahren (200) zur Steuerung dieses Sanitärsystems (100) und eine Verwendung des Sanitärsystems (100).
