Die Erfindung betrifft ein Metall-Keramik-Substrat, ein elektronisches Bauteil aufweisend ein Metall-Keramik-Substrat und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Metall-Keramik-Substrats. Das Metall-Keramik-Substrat weist auf: a) einen Keramikkörper, der eine Haupterstreckungsebene aufweist, b) eine Metallschicht, die flächig mit dem Keramikkörper verbunden ist, wobei die Metallschicht einen Strukturierungsbereich aufweist, der (i) bereichsweise festes Material und (ii) bereichsweise nicht-festes Material umfasst, und c) einen auf der Metallschicht angeordneten Kontaktbereich aufweisend Silber, wobei in einem Querschnitt durch das Metall- Keramik-Substrat senkrecht zur Haupterstreckungsebene der Strukturierungsbereich eine Geometrie aufweist, wobei folgendes Erfordernis erfüllt ist: S (BCsolid) / S (BCtotal) > 60%, wobei: S (BCtotal) für die gesamte Länge der Strecke zwischen den Punkten B und C steht und S (BCsolid) für die Länge der Strecke zwischen den Punkten B und C steht, die festes Material schneidet.
