DECORATIVE SURFACE COVERING COMPRISING PVB
A preferably PVC-free surface covering comprises a core layer, a décor layer or décor layer assembly, and, optionally, a backing layer. The core layer is a stiff layer possessing a deformation angle of less than 10 degrees, preferably less, as measured for a rectangular sample with dimensions of 160 mm×450 mm, clamped in a horizontal cantilevered position so as to obtain a 160×300 mm projecting portion, the deformation angle being measured 30 seconds after removal of a support that prevents a deformation of the projecting part under the influence of its own weight. The core layer comprises thermoplastic material containing PVB. The thermoplastic material has a plasticizer content of not more than 20 wt.%, preferably less, with respect to the PVB content.
L'invention concerne un revêtement de surface de préférence sans PVC, qui comprend une couche centrale, une couche décorative ou un ensemble couche décorative et, éventuellement, une couche dorsale. La couche centrale est une couche rigide possédant un angle de déformation inférieur à 10 degrés, de préférence moins, tel que mesuré pour un échantillon rectangulaire ayant des dimensions de 160 mm × 450 mm, serré dans une position en porte-à-faux horizontale de façon à obtenir une partie en saillie de 160 × 300 mm, l'angle de déformation étant mesuré 30 secondes après un retrait d'un support qui empêche une déformation de la partie en saillie sous l'influence de son propre poids. La couche centrale comprend un matériau thermoplastique contenant du PVB. Le matériau thermoplastique a une teneur en plastifiant inférieure ou égale à 20 % en poids, de préférence moins, par rapport à la teneur en PVB.
