A shower system (100, 200) includes a shower head (102, 202) and a shutoff device (112, 122, 130) arranged along a flow path of water to the shower head (102, 202) configured to control a flow of water to the shower head (102, 202) based on a position of the shower head. The shower system (100, 200) further includes a mount (104, 204) shaped to receive the shower head (102, 202), where seating the shower head (102, 202) within the mount (104, 204) actuates the shutoff device (112, 122, 130) to maintain a flow rate of water from the shower head below a pre-determined threshold flow rate.
