FLOODING PREVENTION DEVICE AND FLOODING PREVENTION METHOD
This flooding prevention device is installed in a manhole 100, and comprises: lower support columns 14; a floating body 12 that moves vertically along the lower support columns 14 in conjunction with a rise/fall in water level in the manhole 100; and a flooding protection case 20 that is disposed above or on the upper sections of the lower support columns 14, and that has a hollow structure with an opening in a bottom surface thereof. An outer housing 10 is placed on the floating body 12. When the manhole 100 is flooded, air is trapped in the hollow structure, and the outer housing 10, which is placed on the floating body 12 that has risen in conjunction with the rise in water level, is accommodated in the hollow structure via the opening.
