COMPOSITE WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE
A composite waterproofing membrane for waterproofing concrete slabs and foundation walls is disclosed. The waterproofing membrane comprises a rubberized asphalt layer, a polymeric bonding layer having one face bonded to one surface of the rubberized asphalt layer and having an opposing face with surface cavitations, and a vapor barrier layer bonded to the opposing surface of the rubberized asphalt layer. The surface cavitations of the bonding layer allow concrete poured against the bonding layer to fill in the cavitations and anchor the concrete to the bonding layer, thereby ensuring watertightness between the composite waterproofing membrane and the concrete. A method and system for waterproofing a blindside building foundation using the waterproofing membrane are also disclosed.
L'invention concerne une membrane d'imperméabilisation composite pour l'imperméabilisation de dalles de béton et de parois de fondation. La membrane d'imperméabilisation comprend une couche d'asphalte caoutchoutée, une couche de liaison polymère ayant une face liée à une surface de la couche d'asphalte caoutchoutée et ayant une face opposée avec des cavitations de surface, et une couche barrière à la vapeur liée à la surface opposée de la couche d'asphalte caoutchoutée. Les cavitations de surface de la couche de liaison permettent au béton coulé contre la couche de liaison de remplir les cavitations et d'ancrer le béton à la couche de liaison, ce qui permet d'assurer l'étanchéité à l'eau entre la membrane d'imperméabilisation composite et le béton.
