FOLDABLE OIL CONTAINMENT BOOM CAPABLE OF RAPID DEPLOYMENT AND RECOVERY
This disclosure relates to a foldable oil containment boom capable of rapid deployment and recovery, which is designed to prevent the spread of spilled oil and facilitate rapid containment in the event of an offshore oil spill by comprising a plurality of interconnected boom units, allowing for stacked storage and rapid automatic deployment at sea by means of the elasticity of tension springs installed within each boom unit. Proposed in one embodiment of the present disclosure is a foldable oil containment boom comprising: boom units automatically expanded by means of elasticity to stand upright on the water; connection units disposed on both side ends of the boom units and connecting boom units to adjacent boom units; and an outer cover that covers the outer circumferential surface of the plurality of boom units connected by the connection units, wherein the boom units, when stored, are stored having the side edges thereof folded, and are automatically expanded and deployed when deployed on water.
