Study on deformation and force of a super high arch dam during impoundment period in Southwest China
Based on the prototype monitoring results of a super high arch dam during the impoundment period in Southwest China, this paper systematically analyzes and researches the existing monitoring results, preliminarily evaluates the operation status of the dam during impoundment period, and better demonstrates the performance of different monitoring instruments through the QH3D software monitoring results. The results are compared with the three-dimensional finite element results, and the mechanism of stress and deformation of an extra-high arch dam in southwest China during impoundment is studied in depth. This study can find the potential risk of the dam in time, and give early warning of the serious problems such as cracks in the dam body and key parts.
