Probabilistic Seismic Performance Evaluation of Existing Buildings through Non-stationary Stochastic Ground Motions and Incremental Dynamic Analysis
This paper critically evaluates the probabilistic seismic performance of existing buildings. During the process, the non-stationary stochastic ground motions and incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) are adopted. The principles of non-stationary stochastic ground motions are introduced, and the structural performance under the earthquake excitations is evaluated. The paper lays the foundation for the further performance assessment of infrastructures considering the stochastic characteristics of earthquakes in the future.
