Live China in Big Data A Close Look at the Image-Building Strategy of Smart Cities
Defined by prototypical features of volume, variety, velocity and veracity, big data has the potential to transform traditional cities by offering them greater opportunities for competitive advantage. Taking multiple cases of smart cities for example, this paper conducts a content analysis of the city live streaming contents and exploitation films for the purpose of exploring effective ways to promote the image of these cities in big data. It is found that smart cities build their image in good storytelling; the more cities are data-driven, the better they could perform financially and operationally.
