Analysis on Low-Carbon Idea in Chinese Traditional Settlements Landscape
Low-carbon idea involved in Chinese traditional settlements landscape is very valuable to landscape architecture modern low-carbon city in China. In this study, low-carbon ideas in Chinese traditional settlements landscape were analysis from site selection of settlement, landscape pattern, building material, architectural design and so on. Some examples were provided to support the analysis. Finally, it was suggested that further research should be done in carrying forward these low-carbon ideas, developing tourism program of traditional settlements landscape, studying comprehensive utilization of native building material and modern low-carbon material and studying cultural genetic symbol in traditional settlements landscape.
