Towards Secure and Smart Healthcare in Smart Cities Using Blockchain
The integration of healthcare and smart cities has led to the utilization of information and technology into health and medical practices around the world. The integration has improved the life and health quality of the residents in the smart cities. However, the integration has also exposed healthcare industry to security challenges, which include patients’ health information privacy and security of mobile health users in the vicinity. However, the use of Blockchain is a promising technology, which will enable the healthcare to counter the security challenges in the smart cities. Blockchain technology has facilitated for safe and secure storage of the patient’s information in the health care system.
