Detection of shallowly buried objects with subsurface radars
Detection of objects buried at shallow depths is a difficult problem to solve with subsurface radars due to the presence of surface reflection. In the contribution, high resolution signal processing methods are applied to alleviate the range-resolution problem. The discussion is centered on step-frequency radars, and dual-domain parametric methods are proposed to compute range-spectra and improve interface discrimination. Examples from real measurements are included to illustrate the proposed methods.<>
