Jakarta Strategic Housing Using Overlay
To have a strategic home, people need to observe the environment where they want to live, either in urban or rural areas, increasing simultaneously with population growth, especially in a large metropolitan city like Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. With problems such as flood and traffic congestion, people living in Jakarta face the complicated problem of choosing the most strategic location for their houses. Due to these problems, this research would create a website containing geospatial information that shows a map of the most strategic locations for housing in Jakarta. The purpose of helping people finds the most strategic locations for them to build or buy a house. To get a map of the most strategic house in Jakarta, we will use the overlay method on flood area, Trans Jakarta station, school, and health facility data. An overlay is a process for the relation between 2 or more data with the same area. For example, overlay Trans Jakarta station data, school station data, health facility data, and flood area data will be merged, and look for which areas overlap with all the data. This research shows that some areas in Jakarta indeed are in a strategic place, like Kebon Jeruk, Sawah Besar, Senen, and Pademangan.
