Simulation and bottleneck analysis of container port handling resources based on bounding theory
Studying on container terminal, a bottleneck simulation model of container terminal handling is built by using eM-Plant simulation platform, this queuing network mathematical model of container port handling resources including shore container crane, gantry crane and container trucks. The bottleneck of container port handling resources is calculated through the analysis of system output index and the theory of constraints. Calculation and analysis indicates that by using the queuing models and simulation, bottlenecks of container port handling resources can be analyzed.
