Portable Instrument for Precise Ethanol Content Measurement in Sanitizers
Since the covid-19 epidemic outbreak, hands and surface sanitizers have become very much in demand in order to disinfect hands and surfaces, In response to this, we have developed our own instrument. The later is small and portable to allow it to be used in different locations as needed. We have successfully achieved a measurement precision of 1.3 % ethanol concentration in water. The single measurement used only takes 10 seconds to determine whether a sanitizer is going to be effective based on confirming its ethanol concentration to be 70 % or more.
