Length-dependent electronic transport through alkane-dithiol self-assembled monolayer junctions
We fabricate microscale via-hole structure molecular electronic devices using alkane-dithiol self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) and characterize their electric transport properties. We present transport parameters of different length alkane-dithiols from mass-fabricated molecular devices. We found the electronic transport decay coefficient for alkane-dithiols of ∼ 0.86 Å −1 which is similar to that for alkanemonothiols
