Integrated decision support system designed for Chinese city public transportation planning and operation
Giving the priority to the development of public transportation is the basic content of the Chinese city transportation development strategy. In recent decades of years, hundreds; of Chinese cities have made public transportation system planning. Some of them even have made the public transportation operation and scheduling optimization. The practice of these cities made it clear that an integrated decision support system for urban public transportation planning and operation is in great of need. This paper brings forward an integrated systematic frame for the needs of Chinese city public transportation planning and operation, and it also makes the structural design for the public transportation database of the integrated system. The system will be of great benefit to improve the public transportation planning and operational level and accelerate the development of public transportation.
