Distributed Fusion to Improve the Efficiency of Industrial Wireless Sensor Network
Wireless communication has become an integral part of modern life and its accuracy of reception is very important especially in applications like medical, industrial and military etc. When compared to the traditional wired industrial monitoring and control systems Wireless Sensor Networks has many advantages such as no wiring restriction, easier modification of the equipment layout, easy maintenance, reduced cost and better performance. This work proposes a method of distributed fusion for industrial IOT application. Data fusion (Decision fusion) improves the accuracy, situation awareness, Robustness and Redundancy of the system. The proposed method quantifies the advantages of distributed fusion of wireless sensor network in an industrial environment.
