Design of Treatment Facilities for Bridge Deck Stormwater Runoff on Highway
In recent years, hazardous chemical transportation accidents occur frequently, causing extreme environmental risks to receiving water bodies. In concern of public health and environment safety, treatment facilities for bridge deck stormwater runoff should be constructed to avoid hazardous chemicals spilling into nearby water bodies. In this paper, characteristics and control techniques of bridge deck stormwater runoff were investigated, treatment facilities and an intelligent emergency response system were designed for bridge deck stormwater runoff on highway. The intelligent emergency response system can monitor, alarm, and prevent hazardous chemical leakage in bridge deck stormwater runoff of highway with high precision and integration.
