Collapse simulation analysis of high-rise reinforced concrete frame structures under seismic force
It is paid more attention to seismic collapse of high-rise RC frame structures in recent years. In this paper, seismic collapse process of a ten-storey RC frame structures from elastic stage to crack, then to collapse is simulated and analyzed using the finite element software named ANSYS/LS-DYNA. The simulation result is in good accordance with the actual seismic collapse process. It proves that the antiseismic capacity of high-rise frame structures' bottom layer is weak and crumbling of the concrete of beam-column joints caused by shear failure of the joints is the major reason for seismic collapse of frame structures. Meanwhile, it states that the seismic collapse process of high-rise frame structures can reappear successfully by selecting reasonable calculating parameter and computational modeling. Sequentially, the weaknesses of high-rise frame structures under seismic force are founded. It proved the theoretical basis for revealing the failure mechanism of high-rise frame structures' seismic collapse and improving the antiseismic performance of high-rise frame structures.
