A Simple Finite Element Model to Analyze Partially Heated Microchannel Heat Sinks
Partially heated square channel micro heat sinks cooled by turbulent flow of water are analyzed using Finite element method. A separate finite element is built to discretize the microchannel along with the coolant. Effects of different kinds of partial heating cases and cases similar to a hot spot are reported for various kinds of micro heat exchangers.
