Automated Theertham Dispenser (ATD): A safety Method for Providing Holy Water to the Devotees in the Indian Temples
The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that handing out anything contactless is the most secure way to avoid any pathogen-contaminated surface. Though one may not have seen a priest distributing holy water for devotees to be anything unsanitary, the pandemic has made us retrospect those past views. While giving holy water to devotees, there is a chance that pathogens may spread from the priest to hundreds of devotees who come to the temple. Since health concern is one such thing that can never be ignored, we have developed a gadget to ensure that the ‘theertham’ (holy water) is delivered to each devotee’s hand without any contact with faster delivery, assured 99% safety and 98% accuracy.
