Integrated Creative Platform (ICP)™: Strategic innovation for China’s creative cultural industries
This essay seeks to propose designing a platform to integrate the strengths of China’s creative, cultural, manufacturing industries, as well as the R&D and design education sector, so as to stimulate business innovation in a city or region, and ultimately benefitting its economic growth. It analyzes the current issues which those sectors are facing, then proposes a conceptual framework on utilizing the existing creative cultural parks / experimental zones in China to facilitate that growth. This framework could serve as a blueprint for policy makers in the government and operators of creative cultural parks for implementation.
