Development of WS2 Nanomaterial for Photodiode Application
Among 2D materials, Tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanomaterial has excellent optoelectronic properties owing to its tunable band gap energy. Here, we have elaborated WS2 using one- step chemical vapor deposition process, then systematic investigations have been conducted in view of its potential use as photodiode. In this context, we present our recent progress achieved in both theoretical and experimental studies. We focus on the development of WS2 as an active material for photodiodes fabrication with tunable wavelengths, demonstrating its significant potential to be implemented into laser diode systems.
