WiFi Enabled Fire Extinguishing Drone
One of the most important problems in firefighting is rescue inside a burning building/premises. Firefighting is the act of extinguishing a fire or preventing the spread of fire in order to protect human life, property and the environment. People who work in firefighting are called firefighters. When there is a fire breakout in a building the fire spreads out all over the building area, this makes it difficult for the firefighter to enter and rescue/secure the victims. The methods of fire extinguishing include cooling, starvation and smothering. In a firefighting situation the cooling method is mostly implemented by spraying water over the burning area. This method consumes a lot of time to suppress the flame and it is physically impossible to reach the entire building. The rescue can be done quickly if the fire is suppressed fast. A quicker way of extinguishing the fire can be used like dry-chemical agent. These types of extinguishers are small in size and more effective in extinguishing the fire faster than water. We have proposed a solution that would make the rescues easier for the firefighters. Our solution is that we have designed a drone that carries a dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire in the path of firefighter. By looking at the time between both type of extinguishing methods our solution will provide a faster and easier way to carry out the rescue in a burning building and achieve the desired goals.
