Principles of systems that enable autonomous driving of vehicles
This document describes technologies that enable an autonomous control of a vehicle. A basic explanation of the approach to designing a lateral controller is given as well as a description of several systems that are used for the orientation of a vehicle. Systems for lateral control (guide wire, magnetic, GPS) as well as for longitudinal and/or lateral control (picture processing, radar systems, electronic drawbar) are described.
