Research on Scattering Property of Finite Dipole Array
Due to the increasing interest on scattering cross section and stealth technology of array antenna recently, the scattering property of finite dipole array is discussed in this paper. RWG basis function is introduced to compute surface current distribution and scattered field. In the dipole model the surface current distribution for each RWG edge element is replaced by an infinitesimal dipole's current, having an equivalent dipole moment. The total scattered field is then obtained as a sum of all these contributions of infinitesimal dipoles. Finally, different space selection among array elements, different incident frequency, different incident angle and different array size are discussed to get their effect on the scattered field.
