Experimental Study on Static Compression Deformation Characteristics of Coarse-grained Soil Fillers
In order to reveal the deformation characteristics of the coarse-grained soil filler of railway subgrade under load, this article carried out a systematic static pressure deformation test with a self-made model test device, and discussed the influence of various factors, like vertical load, rainfall infiltration, compaction degree, lateral stiffness. It's shown that the strain of coarse-grained soil filler is 0.6%-1.97% under the load of 50-300kPa. The deformation of coarse-grained soil increases linearly with the increase of static pressure load, increases slowly with the increase of rainfall infiltration, or decreases gradually with the increase of compaction degree and lateral stiffness. It is recommended to prevent rainwater from infiltrating into the subgrade in engineering practice, while strictly controlling the compaction degree during filling, and applying appropriate constraints to the slope of high embankment. The results can provide reference for post-construction settlement control of high-speed railway coarse-grained soil subgrade.
