A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The flood risk assessment of riverside town based on hydraulic model is of great significance for flood disaster prevention and engineering treatment. The paper starts with river system distribution and flood source analysis in case study of Tongcheng County, Hubei Province. In addition, a flood calculation and analysis program is proposed. The typical frequency (0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.20) of flood routing and inundation process are calculated based on TUFLOW software to obtain more accurate flood inundation range, inundation depth and other information. Combined with GIS, urban flood risk mapping is carried out. The calculation results show that the technical method proposed in this paper is feasible. The main sections of the main stream of Junshui River in Tongcheng County meet the flood control standard of 20-year return period, and the current flood control capacity of some sections of Xiushui River is rather low.
