Wire sections' optimization of rhombic wire wound vessel based on FEM
The ANSYS development tool - APDL can be used to build the finite element model of wire wound vessel considering the wires' interbedded friction. Only a handful of parameters have to be input in order to accomplish the whole process of program development such as constructing model, meshing, generating contact pairs, applying restrictions and loads as well as solving and post-processing. We can use the developed batch program to achieve the finite element analysis of the vessel's stress field for different wire's sectional dimensions and get the rule of the rhombic wire wound vessel's carrying capacity along with wire's sectional dimensions, which will provide a reference for design and optimization of wire's section.
