Design of Envelope Structures for Existing Nearly Zero Energy Buildings in the Northwest Region
The envelope structures of nearly zero energy buildings play a critical role in reducing energy consumption and are important for energy conservation and emission mitigation within the construction industry. Nonetheless, the advancement of nearly zero energy buildings is impeded by challenges associated with nonstandard and improperly used materials for building envelope structures. This study focuses on the building envelope structures of an existing nearly zero energy office building, Zhongjian Building, as the research subject. It aims to modify and design the parameters of the building envelope structures, simulate building energy consumption using the TRNSYS simulation software, and conduct an economic analysis of the building envelope structures. The results indicate that the designed building envelope structures successfully reduce building energy consumption to 393.25 kWh, with material costs amounting to approximately 3.76 million yuan.
