Partial Replacement of Cement by using Steel Slag
Steel Slag is a waste product of steel manufacturing industry and can be used as a cementitious material. This study is based on the use of Steel Slag as a fractional replacement of cement in different proportions. This study scrutinized the concrete’s strength with slag by destructive and non- destructive method. Slag based concrete cubes were checked with different proportions and observed the load capacity, behavior of concrete and crack pattern. It was marked that not only compressive strength of slag concrete is satisfactory up to a certain proportion but also reduces the reasonable amount of cost. Slag concrete is also eco-friendly concrete and helps in utilization of steel waste.
