Intelligent Clogged Sewer Control System
A sewer is an underground pipe or a tunnel created in concrete for transporting sewage including waste or used water from domestic and commercial spaces to the treatment facility or disposal. Sewer inlets are present on roads, homes, offices and commercial areas to enable easy clearance. A good sewer system is a necessity for every city. Sewer inlets must be present on roads to act as a path for the road runoff water to flow into. Maintenance of these sewer pipes and inlets is a requirement for the smooth functioning of an area. There have been many solutions to prevent or mitigate clogging inside the sewer pipes. But many times, most sewer inlets are clogged from outside, causing urban flooding whenever there is an unexpected downpour or a water pipe breakage nearby. In this paper, we present a simple yet efficient Intelligent Clogged Sewer Control System, a device that uses sensor modules to eradicate this issue by alerting the respective governing authorities when the sewer is about to be fully obstructed by dirt or waste.
