Enhanced constant power allocation methods in OFDM systems
An enhanced mechanism is designed to improve the performance of the constant power allocation methods in OFDM systems. The main idea of the proposed enhanced mechanism is to make a subcarrier have several portions virtually. Each portion is considered as one subcarrier when allocating constant power. Therefore, more power can be allocated to those subcarriers with better channel states. The proposed enhanced mechanism is developed without increasing the complexity in terms of Big-Oh notation. The simulation results reveal that the performances of the proposed enhanced methods are better than those of the conventional constant power methods.
