A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
This paper reviews the construction of a 2D random medium, and the modelling of a reflected seismic wave through it using a statistical method. Based on the results of calculations using simple random medium models, we draw some important and interesting conclusions. One of these is that high-resolution seismic data may be distorted by local micro-heterogeneity in reservoir beds and classical seismic data are not. When the classical interpretation method cannot obtain a correct result from such data, one can try to use the random medium wave theory. Therefore, modelling and analysis of a seismic reflected wave through random media is a valuable research aspect, especially for reservoir seismic data.
