The Sagamore Lake Dam (formerly known as the Old Forge Dam) is an earth dam with a concrete corewall. A concrete gravity spillway section is located near the left end of the dam. The dam is approximately 300 feet long and 20 feet high. Using the Corps of Engineers' Screening Criteria for initial review of spillway adequacy, it has been determined that the dam would be overtopped by all storms exceeding 13% of the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) inflows.
