Abridged Building Classification (ABC) For Architects Builders Civil Engineers
The Universal Decimal Classification, UDC, has long been recognized as useful for the international exchange of publications and information because it is independent of language and is widely used in most countries of the world. The copyright of the system is held by the International Federation for Documentation, FID, and amendments to the classification are only made with international agreement. The Abridged Building Classification, ABC, presents a selection of numbers from the Universal Decimal Classification designed for easy and practical application in architecture and building. It can be as readily used in a practitioner's office as in a special library. Simple rules for using it are given.
