This report outlines an action program for the commercial revitalization of the Vermont-Slauson commercial district of the City of Los Angeles. The program provides public investment in parking and pedestrian circulation improvements in support of private remodeling of the abandoned Sears store to provide a retail center of approximately 150,000 square feet. Directly related to the Sears rehabiliation is provision of programs for rehabilitation of other stores in the Vermont-Slauson commercial district to develop a completely renewed shopping district.
