Performance of Tall Buildings during the 1985 Mexico Earthquakes
The main objectives of the report are: first, to identify and then formulate main design guidelines for tall buildings on soft soil based in their performance during the 1985 Mexican events; and second to assess which type of lateral resisting systems used for tall buildings in Mexico City performed well, so that they can be implemented in other locations with similar site conditions (soil profile and topography).
